I have not used that one in particular, but honestly, I have never seen any of those fancy contraptions that works worth crap...

if you have a ton of ducks to pick, the best thing to do is dip them on wax and peel it all off at once. that can get pretty expensive, though.

No personal experience but a commercial chicken plucker seems to be the ticket. With wax there is still a decent amount of work required. Y'all must kill a decent amount of birds huh?

New lease, last year was pretty good. Video looks almost too good to be true.

14 seconds, no feathers

Yeah they come out beautiful. There is a lot of info online about making them from washing machines.

My friend has one that works pretty damn good. Have to heat the ducks in hot dishwashing detergent and water first. Helps to remove natural oils from the feathers so the fingers in the tub can grab the feathers better. I do it the old fashion way or just breast them.

I started dipping them in warm soapy water before hand plucking whenever I have a few.

Boil some water then cut the fire off.
Throw duck under hot water for 30 seconds
Pluck duck.

I dont see why this method would work for a chicken and not a duck.
