By the house I can't put any bait out because the hogs will camp out there.

it will end us all im sure!

im talking about HAM. Hog Annihilation Machine. Designed by WMS of Denham Springs La.

its the only species specific feeder built for the sole targeting of Hogs.

I personally think trapping is the most efficient means of helping control them.

Did you really just create an infomercial thread? I like how you used the OP to try to hide that intention, but it just made it seem even more infomercially.

with HAM, I can target 75-80 hogs in month with one machine, per the Kerr Wildlife and fisheries early studies.

I really wanna know more about how you guys are fighting the hog problem

edit: I do not work for WMS - I do not own stock in WMS and I do not get royalties from WMS.

I think this is the best damn idea to kill hogs ive seen. wanted to share.

Only problem with poisoning hogs is the scavangers that feed on them once dead. Hell we could poison them now if we chose.

We used a round pen type trap built with cattle panels and t-posts. Didn't catch shite till the acorns dried up but early Feb loaded up, catching 5-15 at a time. Completely whiped out our population for 1.5 yrs, admittedly our population is small compared to some places I've seen. They seem to be about like beavers, you have to manage them I guess.

I realize that, but secondary feedings of dead poisoned hogs is safe with the poison being tested.
how can you poison them now without the risk of poisoning other non targeted species? that and I think its against the law because there is currently no way to target hogs alone, not counting HAM.

I said it could be done (poisoning) but I don't nor have I, because of the "secondaries", and it's illegal.

I missed where this poison was safe. It would be wonderful to whipe them out completely, then we can get started on the Asian carp.
