U know, fish do get more red in them as they get bigger. I.e. Speckled trout >4lbs
Not sure about red in a barfish though... If they are as small as bream, maybe you should throw them back... Just sayin.
Anyway, some fun facts ab a barfish... They have broken lines unlike a striper and if u get in a school of them you will catch each and everyone of them...

I love the salts and hybrids here in Alabama. Just cut out the blood line. Caught 30 on July 24, largest two were 10 and 12 lbs. All the others between 1 lb and 6 lbs.
