seeing some light chasing on camera. Also seeing doe's and bucks at feeders. Mature bucks are on their own...younger bucks are still together.

Thanks for the report - I'm a few miles west of Centreville and probably less than 10 miles from you as the crow flies.

I'm heading up this evening but I assume the 70° weather that is forecast will kill any daytime movement at my place!

oh you can bet they are still nocturnal


These are the young bucks chasing so I'm told it'll be another 2 weeks before full tilt.

Yea I'm around Summit and we're usually Dec 25-Jan 15 time frame for prime rut.

Hunted last weekend and my dad hunted the last 2 days. This evening I decided to brush duck blind for the second split opener tomorrow. Check the camera as I’m heading home around 5 and a target 8 is eating in the food plot without a care in the world.

fields have been full in the evenings
we’ve got a 4 y/o and 2 5 y/os harvested since thanksgiving
5 of us on 500 acres…
