Looking to get into a deer lease.the wife is wanting to get into deer hunting after taking her to kill a couple of deer this year. I mainly hunt public land but a lease at this point would be much easier.

Where do you live?
How far do you want to travel?
What is your budget?

25 minutes east of Alexandria.
Would not mind traveling 1-2 hours.
I would like to budget my spending to under $1000

Id contact the timber companies Roy O and Crowell. They will probably know of some clubs you can contact. Your spend will be something to match the clubs they have.
I am in one, you will be looking at pine trees, cutovers and some mixed pine bottoms. Most all of these clubs will be box stand hunting over corn piles for 90% of the hunters.
But, if I were you I would up the money and look around your area and a few miles east, put out some local feelers. The hunting will be so much more enjoyable your way versus where 1000 bucks will put you.

We have 5 members from Alexandria in our club. We’ve got 5500 acres in Jackson parish and will probably have a couple of openings this year, our dues were $1200 last year. I can keep you up to date on the openings ,Here is my email swalker14@yahoo.com
