I shop around. I do give a local shop some business and always rent from them. Called Next Adventure, run by two old hippies. Otherwise, I buy from REI, Backcountry, and US Outdoor store. If it's the same price everywhere I go to REI because of the 10% I'll get back in the spring.

Friend of mine just got a job at mountain hardwear. I want Arcteryx alpine jacket and pants but with his discount I might not have a choice
