I've had a goodman in my house, 9 years old, no issues at all

We had the A coil replaced last year (under warranty) but we still had to pay for labor and freon. Guess what, the warranty unit they installed is now leaking oil and freon worse than the unit it replaced. Yup it's a Goodman. There should be a class action lawsuit against that company for the junk they are putting out.

Won't help you with the price question but we have a 5 ton American Standard and it's the coldest ac I've ever owned. Same thing as a Trane now btw.

Not on the ones that I had. It was 5 years. I ended up replacing two of the three. I went with Carrier and went up in size. Couldn’t be happier
