I guess it’s a pet peeve of mine when people gripe about how other people spend their money. I still have camo that I had 20+ years ago. I don’t wear it though. I have much better stuff now.
Big difference between griping about how people spend their money and calling out the amateur Instagram pro staffers for selling a false image of success.
Hunting is undergoing a huge resurgence and the fact is there are a lot of uninitiated out there who will buy the marketing hype. I buy once cry once on most things, premium camo is incredibly well made, purpose built, and will cost less in the long run than buying cheap stuff.
That said, a new or young hunter on a budget would often times be better served spending that premium on quality glass/binos or investing into their gun/bow enough to enjoy practicing, then spend some time in shitty camo to learn what it sucks at and what’s really necessary where and how they hunt.
