Cadence fishing rods?

For the money and the blanks and hardware they build with seems like a pretty good deal. Anybody on here threw a flyer and pick one up to try?

Never heard of them til right now but it is notable that they claim to use SiC guide inserts. That’s typically a high end feature, but I’m sure China has figured out how to mass produce them by now and stainless frames kinda point towards that. A set of Fuji titanium SIC guides would cost about as much as they’re advertising that rod for.
40-ton carbon is kind of ambiguous, what really matters is the resin used to make the blank. All that said, they seem to know what goes into a good rod and are trying to mimic it at a low price point. Glanced at the reels and they kinda say the same thing, obviously modeled after shimano’s new bodied reels. I’m sure you’ll be more than happy with it for what it costs.

I’ll probably get one to test for a trout rod. Should be as good as the cheaper Falcons at least. They get roughed up pretty bad so I don’t let myself spend more than $100 anyway

Update after you use it, can never have enough beater rods. There are a lot of companies making rods in that $100 range that aren't as nice on paper as those.

Love their reels, don't have any experience with their rods, but want to hear everyone's experience as well.

Just ordered a CR7 6’8” medium x-fast spinner. Last one they had. See what we get

Feels like it’ll be a pretty good stick. One thing I don’t like is the microguide tip. I fish braid with a leader almost exclusively and I don’t think the Alberto will pass so,,,, we’ll see

20# braid to 12# mono leader Alberto knot not a problem casting with the micro tip. Very light rig with the Fuego 2500. Casting and dragging a jig up the drive, sensitively seems excellent. It stayed in one piece thru hooksets on a full milk jug with the drag tightened up pretty good. Last report unless some bad happens but $55 for this rod seems like a super steal so far

Glad to hear it. Are all the guides micro or just the tip top?

It’s a 9 guide rod and progresses pretty quickly to the micros being the last 4 including the tip. What they call a micro is not like like on the ones Duckett I have, not as small. More of a midsize between that and a normal sized I’d say.

I don’t mind that at all, helps to balance the rod out. I’m not an expert on spinning rods but I believe a guide train that gets sequentially smaller from stripping guide to tip top is the best way to get casting distance out of a given blank. Like I said sounds like they know what they’re doing, might have to pick up a couple for inshore stuff.

I bought a 7’ med fast action spinning rod for specs. I love it!
