I'd leave no later than 7 am. Streets are gonna be blocked off to one way traffic in some places. And since yall don't know the back roads, you're gonna hafta take the main drag. It's normally about a 20 minute ride from HI to the track...

Ok...they have split hours on Friday/Saturday. Closed on Sunday. Friday/Saturday hours are 11:30 am til 2:30 pm and then 4:30 pm til 8:30 pm. Go in the morning! If you can't make it to Ridgewood, get on 11-W south to Kingsport and go to Pratt's BBQ on 11-W (Stone Drive) there in Kingsport. It's about 25 minute drive from Bristol. Take the Kingsport exit just past the Tenn Welcome Center going south on I-81. This will put you on 11-W South all the way to Pratt's. Look for the, literally, BIG INDIAN on your left. You'll drive past K-Mart, Applebee's, Hardee's, and Texas Road House, all on your left. Pratt's is right there close to Texas Road House. Again, look for the BIG INDIAN out front. Here is their phone number and business hours: Friday/Saturday 11:00 am til 9:30 pm. Address: 1225 East Stone Drive (ll-W), Kingsport, Tenn. Phone number: 423-246-2500

This place, imho, is a very close second to Ridgewood. You'll see their hickory cooker out front in the corner of the parking lot. Dang...didn't know Ridgewood had those crazy hours. My apologies...

Yall still have time to get to Pratt's if yall haven't eaten yet, if you leave right now. Pratt's closes at 9:30 pm. Fishtales & Pigtales is great food, too and it's on Volunteer Parkway. Address is 2131 Volunteer Parkway Phone number: 423-764-3474 Good chow here and you won't leave hungry. This place is much closer to you. It's on your left as you leave downtown Bristol towards the track.

Naw it's nature cooled. It is fricking cold in there. Under water stream water was about 40 degrees is what the dude told us. I know it was a drip of water fell down the back of my shirt that felt like it came out of an ice chest

Was in Bristol 2 years ago tonight..

some buddies and I drove up there from Lafayette, ate dinner at a BBQ place and stumbled upon an ESPN party where I Dale Jarret and I sat down at a table and drank a beer.

The track is awesome and the candle balloon things that people fly after the race is really cool.
