It just so happens I love the stuff. Drank numerous ones on several occasions. What time are y'all trying to get out there on Fri. and Sat.? Ever figure out parking?

Watch out for the cops! They run radar like crazy during race weekends.. especially this week

It would probably be a good idea to wait before cracking open a ML till you are parked, or just so like I do and get the pint cans so you can just screw the top back on..

My favorite race of all time was Bristol night race. Probably 20 years ago. Dale sr. was balck flagged twice and wrecked Labonte at the finish....even though he finished second it was one of the most exciting races I have ever seen.

Get caught with open container in either Va. or Tenn. and they will bust you. Stay within the speed limit, too. Bluff City, Tenn, for instance, makes a goodly portion of their city budget from speeding tickets during the Bristol weekends. Stay away from Kingsport, Tenn on your trip up here. Kingsport is a red light camera city. You can find parking for your car close to the track in people's yards, pasture, etc. Bought some furniture last year from a guy who lives on White Top Road across from the track. He said a guy paid him 100 bucks just to let him park his corvette convertible in his basement garage. Yall got room reservations there in Bristol? When that race is sold out, you can't hardly find a room available anywhere from Knoxville, Tenn to Beckley, West Virginia. 160K race fans is a LOT of people... Get gas for your car BEFORE you get to Bristol. They always jack up the price during race week.

this needs to go in the anchored OB thread, as it is the bible of bristol race advice.. especially the hotel/motel part. If Scott County is anything like tazewell BFIV, the hotel/motels make their living off of race season

and once again, whatever you do.. don't speed. Va is the biggest speeding nazi state in the world

You can add Tennessee to that list now. The Tennessee governor has ordered the Tenn Highway Patrol to be more aggressive (write more tickets) for speeding. And they are doing just that. Also, to Nascar Fan and anyone else going to the Bristol races, DO NOT PARK YOUR CAR BESIDE THE HIGHWAY. THEY WILL TOW YOUR VEHICLE AWAY JUST AS SOON AS YOU LEAVE IT.
