quote:Glad to hear. IMO it's one of the best crankbait rods on the market. The DF version has a softer tip and is a touch smoother as it bends. You picked up the CBR843, right? If so, get an 845 and you'll be able to throw everything up to the occassional D22.
I LOVE my loomis crankbait rod.
My two biggest fish came on the CBR843 - one had just one hook on the back treble barely in its lip. When I netted it, the crankbait immediately fell out. The rod handled that 7lb bass perfectly.

So no deep flex? Good to know. I guess u have to order the 845? What weight n action are u fishing with that one? My 843 is medium fast n I like it

I wouldn't buy the DF because I'm completely satisfied with the CBR. Now, I'm sure the DF is a better rod, but I don't want to spend another $60 to find out.
I have an 843(Med/F), but I want to pick up an 845(MedHvy/F). The 845 would allow me to fish the 10'-15' divers with less strain on the rod.
I haven't seen the 845 locally, but I bet if you ask someone to order it for you, they will. I prefer to order rods through Tackle Warehouse - free shipping and no tax. Plus, they do a fine job packing the rod so it doesn't get damaged in transit.

I'm probably just gonna order mine through TW bc I have to do my annual bait stock up soon. That no tax will add up on that kind of order
