Any of you guys fish this river that's on Mobile Bay? I'm going down there in March for spring break to fish some and I was just wondering if any of you guys ever fish there. I've always caught plenty of reds and sheepshead.

The fish will be out of the river by then. Check out the shellbank reef or any oyster shell bottom in 3 to 5 foot. Look for mullet

I've caught them there in good numbers during March, and I've never really had luck on those oyster beds One year we got into a school of jack crevalle, but that was it.

Mobile Bay Fishing Reefs
I've never fished the Bon Secour River but I've had good luck with some trout on the Shellbank Reef, The Grand Hotel jetties, and have absolutely destroyed some flounder at night on the random pier lights. Good luck.

:cheers
I'll keep those places in mind. You might want to try up in the river cause we usually have success fishing the grass and by piers. We haven't caught many specks in there lately, but we normally catch Reds and sheepshead. It's fun and not many people fish up there.
