If you haven't already done so give the new cooper discoverer rugged trek tire a look. I had toyo mt's and now have the rugged trek. Thus far I really like the performance of the rugged trek.

I had both....The Nittos are way quieter for me. However, the KO2s ran for over 50K miles....I've only had the Nittos for like 5K so I can't speak to their longevity yet but they do have a 50K warranty.
