I am in Baldwin county AL and looking for recommendations for decent public/wma tracts for turkey in the state. I dont have access for turkey on my camp lease and my brother is coming over 1st week of april and is biting at the bit to go.

I have hunted Mobile delta and perdido wma in Baldwin but turkey seemed scarce so I am willing to take a little trip in the state. So I am curious if anyone has had luck seeing turkey or sign in the state? I heard Millers ferry could have some but not sure.

Thanks in advance

Forever wild Upper Delta. The only issue will be the river level on the Alabama. If over 21 ft at Claiborne, the gates are closed.

Perdido WMA right up the road from you. It butts up to Perdido River and all sandy soil. Plenty of turks there to chase. Also you could try Conecuh National Forest. I’ve never hunted there but I’ve seen the sign that they live there.

If you want an adventure, grab your camping gear and go get lost in the Talladega National Forest. If you cannot find a turkey in there, you need to hang it up.
