Seeing lots of love for the BFG KO's and I'm not here to knock them but a question for those who've had them over 20 yrs.

I had these on my Jeep back around 2002-ish and they were great at first but after they got through about the first 1/3 of their wear they got pretty terrible and would break loose with a light dew on the ground. I never went back and not planning to now, but I'm curious whether anyone else had that experience with KO's in the past and that BFG may have an updated compound where that's no longer the case.

Again, this was 20 yrs ago.

I was gonna stay quiet on this one since I seemed like the outlier, but I had 2 sets of KOs around 15 years ago and swore them off forever.

I did a fair amount of travelling on gravel roads at the time. They are terrible for picking up rocks and slinging all over your truck. They were terrible in the mud and instantly caked up. Tread life was abysmal (probably due to the gravel). I maybe got 25k out of them. Also the only time I ever lost traction so much that I spun out just so happened to be when I had those tires.

ETA: Give me some Mickey Thompsons. I absolutely abused to the last set of MTZ's I had. We ran ATZ's on our work trucks at the time also and they held up beautifully. They also actually get shite done off the pavement.
