More tournaments have been won by being scouted at night in air boats with lights than have been won by guys burning in towerboats... believe that...
I personally know guys who scouted FLW & Cup events in air planes if you can believe that.

Guys will always push the envelope & do anything to get a leg up on the competition. Nobody had a problem when DE showed up in mississippi with a contender & ran to venice to win. Completely within the rules. Banning specific boats only creates more problems. Personally I thinks its complete BS that surface drive & jet drive motors are banned but TRP lower units are ok.
