I bought a used X-Sight II just before Christmas off eBay. It was missing the the rubber eye piece. Called and told them about it, and sent me a replacement free of charge.

Then, I finally got to take it out to sight it in this past weekend. I was messing around with the zoom and focus and couldn’t quite get it to focus at max zoom for 50 yds. I did a little research and saw some posts on another message board that said the sunshade and filter are supposed to be used during daylight hours to reduce glare and enhance focus. Well, I was missing those as well. I just called ATN up and told them my problem. They’re sending me a new sunshade and filter at no charge as well. I even told the guy that it was used and he didn’t bat an eye.

Also, he let me know that their scopes have a 2 year warranty and that they are not transferable.

Do you guys that have their products feel the same way?

I don’t know about service but I am still waiting on my $1000 rebate. It’s only been 2 months though.

I've never had an ATN product. In fact, I had to look the company up. Having said that, it sounds like you've got problems if the scope can't be focused at max magnification at 50 yards. While replacing the lost parts was nice, I don't think it's particularly unusual for the optics industry. The established optics industry have been good to the customer.

I've bought a number of Burris scopes used from the 'net. I sent 2 back to Burris for warranty repair as the parallax was broken. I bought one of the scopes knowing it had a small ding in the objective bell of the scope. Both times Burris replaced, for free, the scopes I sent in w/ scopes that looked brand new and had been upgraded to their BDC reticle. In todays optics industry, not transferring the warranty seems to be a substandard warranty. If your inspection period is not over, I'd send the scope back to the seller as it sounds like it's defective and was apparently missing parts. He should be glad you obtained the replacement parts for you.

I have an X sight. For Daytime use I purchased a Butler Creek cap and drilled a hole in it. Works great. Make sure you join the Facebook owners page. Tons of good information.

i think the issue lies with that it's not your typical scope. it's more of a camera that has a variable zoom lens. it could've been the sun glare affecting it. the filter has a tiny hole that restricts the light that helps the focus. similar to how poking a pin size hole in a sheet of paper and looking through it helps your eyesight (if you have bad eyes like me).

I hope it works for you once you get the proper filter. Have you considered filing a complaint w/ the seller, just in case, since necessary pieces of the equipment that were a part of the deal weren't included?
