Anyone have any experience regarding both of these kayaks, mainly for fishing? The Vibe is about $200 more, is it worth it?

I had an Ascend FS128T. Now I have a Hobie Mirage Outback. From what I have heard from fishing buddies that have these two boats, I would go with the Vibe Sea Ghost. I hear it is more stable and tracks better. Both are slow in the water. If you are shopping in that price range look into the Wilderness Tarpon 120 or join some of the "Kayak For Sale" pages on Facebook and watvh. I see deals on there all the time. I have a buddy selling a 1-2 year old Jackson Coosa for $1000. I thought about buying it for a River boat.

For less than the cost of the vibe, get the Feel Free Moken 14 - $780. That's a steal for that boat and it is a much higher level of fit and finish than the fs12t. It's stable enough to fish from, tracks well, is very fast for a fishing yak and has the wheel in the keel. The only reason I wouldn't recommend it (or the fs12t really) is if you were going to almost exclusively fish small rivers that require tight turns, etc...

Otherwise, scour Craigslist and Facebook and buy something used for around the same price like a native ultimate 12, Jackson cuda, old town predator, WS Ride, etc...

The vibe has seemingly good reviews but honestly I've never handled one. I know they come for GA and people over there seem to like them. I don't think you go wrong with them, but by the time you get the upgraded seat (always get the better seating option), you're looking at $900 I think.

Solid advice from Coco.

Also add it that most dealers are burning through their inventory in preparation for the 2016 rigs. You can find really good deals on demos and end of season kayaks.
