Anyone know how long it usually takes for shipping from aimsurplus.com?

I ordered a gun from them last Thursday, and they said it got shipped Monday. I can't see the order to get any tracking info because they transferred the order over to my ffl's account. Any idea of how long shipping usually takes from them? For $25 bucks I figured it should be overnight (I've been shopping on Amazon Prime for too long).

Long guns are shipped 3-day I believe and handguns are over-nighted. Based on the fact you paid $25 I'm assuming you bought a long gun. This is shipping times once it is actually shipped. I ordered a Moist Nugget from them on Feb 20th and received it Feb 24th. They say most orders take 5-7 business days. You'll probably get it tomorrow, pending your FFL hasn't already received it and just hasn't called you.

Sounds good, I ordered a rifle, just hoping I get it before the weekend. Just used a FFL I found on their website, hopefully I can meet up with them and get the gun in the next couple of days.

Why is gun shipping $25? Does most of the cost go to packing? Or do they have to do anything else special to ship a firearm?

Not sure but that is pretty standard for guns. You gotta also acknowledge that Amazon and flat rate boxes have ruin people's perception of what it cost to actually ship stuff if the item is large, heavy or oddly shaped and you don't do the kind of volume Amazon does.

Did you call the FFL before placing the order to let them know you would be shipping a rifle to them? You should always touch base with your FFL before placing an order to avoid a mishap.

Yea, amazon has ruined me. Have you ever checked out the amazon "prime"? I have a 80qt boiling pot and burner coming in the mail tomorrow from amazon, that is coming for free 2 day shipping because I'm a "prime" member. (Cost $80/year and you get unlimited free 2 day shipping on anything that is "prime", which is most everything.) I haven't been in a real store in a long time.

My plan was to use a local store that does ffls, but when I went to order the gun they already had a guy that does it on the side registered with them. So I went ahead and put his information in the night I ordered it, but I did call the next day and talk to him and let him know what to expect. He said it was all cool and is going to call me when it gets in. Still a lot of variables involved when ordering firearms. But ordering all the ammo you want online, and straight to your house, is just cool.

Dude, 25 to ship a long gun is pretty damn cheap. I think it was around 40 the last time I shipped a rifle to new Mexico. That wasn't including case and box which I already had.

I'm not complaining at all, just saying how crazy amazon is these days. And of course with any new toy, it's never here fast enough.
