What did it for me was talking to a guy at a local gunstore who was in love with them. I read a little about the history, and it got me hooked.

I shot one when I was about 14, and remembering it kicked like a mule but was accurate. Reliability combined with price also has my interest.

A poster in this thread warned me about WWII era Mosins, which this one is.

smuckers that is a interesting rifle , i have a finn m39 with a Remington stamp on it . how often you shoot it ? where did you get it?

I bought it from a man i know. I would love to learn where it was made. I know Remington made some for mosin.Some were 30.06.
