Not so long ago, it wasn’t clear if there would be anymore “firsts” for him in ski racing. As a 17 yr. old he lost his father and didn’t have the money, the substantial money it costs to ski. Since then, a crowdfunding project has allowed him to continue chasing him and his father’s dream. Through crowdfunding he raised enough money to qualify for the Swiss national C team. He showed great promise, but wasn’t one of the blue bloods on the national team. Ultimately, sometimes the cream does rise to the top no matter the adversity, he responded by winning three silver medals, including one in the downhill, at the 2022 junior world championships in Canada. Now, 7 years later, the 24-year-old is the king of the downhill.
