Seems odd they have this. I looked it up and apparently it would be used for medals if some of the 4 competing in the real final are disqualified.

The men’s/women team event was live last night.
Men go down the hill first and then the women go. The women’s gates open based on the timing of the finish of their male counterpart.
I think all the snowboard cross events are over now.

They said that the format changed and it used the gate would drop automatically once your teammate has finished.
NBC has been accurate with the “Live” setting but it sometimes goes from Live in the studio to showing the tape delayed stuff within seconds, and the “Live” comes off
