Sorry if germans, but me and a couple friends got together recently and decided going down to help out with this oil spill nonsense would be the best way to make the most money this summer.
Only problem is I'm not too sure how to go about getting the job...do i sign up on a website, call someone, or just drive down there and hope for the best?
Any help is appreciated! TIA!

I think you have to be certified first and I believe certification is taking place in NOLA. Check with NOLA.com

There are signs posted in the Gardere area and in North Baton Rouge regarding oil spill cleanup.
From what I have seen while down there thats all they are hiring too. The pay these guys are getting is $12/hr. Some have said the only training they had was to sit and listen to a talk on safety for a couple hrs.
