I live in south LA and guess that if this Top Gun, Top Murder, Top Kill or whatever it is called does not work, we are looking at pouring oil until the relief well is drilled (for some reason, I think that will be fricked up as well). So, obviously my way of life (not making a living), but way of life is down the tubes and I will no longer be happy with living in the marsh due to the oil all over the place.

So, with this in mind, when do I file my lawsuit against BP for my money because of the emotional distress of having to leave the only area I have lived for 50+ years? I would want to file the suit before BP claims they have no more money to pay out to people.

sorry to hear you were impacted. Many on here would have you believe this will be a little mop job that will last a couple of weeks. But it looks like we are in this for the long haul.

I posted my original question as somewhat of a joke, but for individuals who are not as financially fortunate as I am, when do they take the step and file a lawsuit? While I am ticked as my way of life will be impacted (camp at Fourchon, fishing at the Fourchon rocks, behind Golden Meadow, etc), others will have their entire means of life wiped out. What are the entitled to and what will they actually ever receive?

not shite the dam attorneys are going to get rich. You can bet bp will try to drag it out. Their attorneys are probably on the retainer. This is when the feds need to step up and freeze all bp's assets in the U,S,
