It's going to be okay. Just try and keep everything in perspective and be thankful we dont see more red along the coast.

OK great, now what about all the Oil that is still in the gulf? What about the Oil that is continuing to pour in the gulf?

Who knows? Maybe it degrades and all just goes South. It's been 60 days, why hasnt more oil washed up on our beaches?? Where is all the oil going??

So as much as 100,000 barrels of oil A DAY are spilling into the gulf....Due to the chemistry and physics, use of dispersants...you don't "see" it, so you're happy?!?!

Has that been confirmed as a fact? Is that before or after they cut the riser?

I realize that it has to go somewhere, but as long as its not in our marshes, then the answer is YES, I am happy

You do realize that there is a connection, biologically speaking, between the gulf and the marshes? You do realize that as the prevailing winds change...which have been keeping the oil from the Louisiana marshes, the oil will come in? You do know that this is the time of year those prevailing winds change to a position that will drive the oil to the marshes? You do realize that many of the fish/crustacean species have a planktonic larval form that exists in the Gulf proper and not in the marshes? That those planktonic forms are highly susceptible to environmental pollutants? That they must be recruited into the estuary to serve as their nursery ground? That the nursery is immaterial if the larvae die in the Gulf first?

If you don't see the man robbing your house, does that mean it didn't happen?

I'm not getting my panties in a wad until I see proof of what your saying.

A lot of it is evaporating. By the time it is reaching us in Grand Isle, it is basically oil sheen and foam.

Google can be your friend.

Southern winds will push more oil into marshes

On the biology side....use google scholar; just try the keywords oil larvae plankton recruitment corridor, etc....

I am a biological oceanographer, this is what we do. but keep your head in the sand, it's easier that way

oil evaporates that quickly.....wow, must be some new chemistry research....

Oils can evaporate, but they have a much lower vapor pressure at room temperature than does water. I have experienced the evaporation of oil when I heat it up for use as a high-temperature oil bath for heating chemical reactions. After a few hours at temperatures around 180C, you can see the oil level has gone down a bit.

Unless someone has a heating plate on the gulf to raise it so high the ocean would boil....it certainly is not evaporating.

That was written almost 2 months ago.

Like I said, I want proof what WILL happen, not speculation of what COULD happen.

Awesome, then you should have no problem providing us all with the proof that this is the end of the world as we know it.

Well it's been gushing for 60+ days and all we are seeing in Grand Isle is sheen and foam!

Never said that....was merely pointing out that not "seeing" oil doesn't mean it "disappeared"

Well that settles it....No need to keep taking water samples and doing testing, your visual inspection of the water is obviously definitive enough

Problem solved! It evaporated!

this is classic, also why they are starting to get an enhanced marine science class taught in the schooling system in Louisiana.

Whats funny is that you cant provide any facts to back up all the bullshite that you type on here. At least I posted a map of the impacted areas.

I gave you the link to the winds....

Here's a bunch of scientific articles on larval recruitment

oil effects on ichthyoplankton articles

Read...please.
