it was right now o' clock that I realized Aleister Black is actually out with a groin injury and that's why they had to write him out of the main event of tonight's show
obviously... it was supposed to be a triple threat match as soon as 2 weeks ago... but last week it was changed to Gargano/Ciampa III Last Man Standing

Yeah, they weren't sure of the severity at first but now they say he's out for months so they had to go to Plan B.
But with Riddle signing recently, it gives them an easy way to introduce their new big signing. At first they were thinking of just replacing Aleister with Riddle, but I think they backtracked as that would be a little too quick.
Also, Pat needs to be on all pre-shows as a minor league version of Corey Graves, who he took some funny shots at

shoot... if you want to have Gargano do a heel turn... this is a great way to do it
he was in the NXT version of the Zapruder film... but pretty far away from the action
have Gargano win tonight... defend the belt until Aleister comes back... then have Aleister out him as the attacker and have Gargano admit it and be like "I wanted Ciampa 1 on 1"
