Definitely a slow burn heel turn. Seth called him a hypocrite earlier in the show, he comes out smiling and cutting the same type of Cena promo he used to clown. Even went WAY over the top with some stuff to make it obvious (“they were kissing me on the mouth!”).

They’re using his reputation of being disingenuous as part of the story. He’ll keep playing this while Seth goes crazier and crazier until Punk reveals the full evil heel turn at Rumble or Mania. I think it’s a fun way to play it.
