WWE Friday Night Smackdown Thread: Obstacle Course of the Karens Edition

Potentially big news in real sports world that may impact WWE. NBCSN is getting shut down before year's end with the NHL expected to be switched over to the USA Network when that happens. NBCSN has been the NHL's home for a number of years now and the league moving back to USA could mean Raw of NXT could be preempted for hockey games.

The Undertaker's appearance on the Joe Rogan Podcast has people talking... esp. the parts where he admitted to having been on steroids and called the current locker room soft and full of pretty boys and missing the days where wrestlers carried around guns & knives in their bags.

AEW confirmed the Sting & Darby Allin vs. Team Taz Street Fight at the Revolution PPV... which will appear to be Sting's 1st match since the career-ending back injury suffered at the hands of Seth Rollins at Night of Champions in 2015.

AEW has also filed a trademark request for "Battle of the Belts"... which potentially signals AEW's plans for a future episode of Dynamite while still going after trademarks WWE should have.

WWE Backstage will be back prior to the Royal Rumble for a special episode... hosted by Renee Paquette (not Young... using her real maiden name), Booker T & Paige (who is still defying WWE's Twitch stream ban)

WWE Friday Night Smackdown comes from the WWE Thunderdome inside Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Fla.

Apollo Crews... who may or may not have been adopted into the Samoan Wrestling Family even though he's not exactly Samoan... challenges Big E for the Intercontinental Championship.

And hopefully there will be a lot of lululemon on display as Bayley challenges Biance Belair into the Ultimate Athlete Obstacle Course Challenge... which in absolutely NO WAY will resemble the whole Viking Raiders/Street Profits 'Anything You Can Do We Can Do Better' segments during the height of the pandemic.
