I know this thread is way earlier than normal. I have to work a 1 PM baseball game... which will get me back home just in time for the show to start... and I have to be at the field in just a little bit to get stuff set-up pregame. The Fighting Baptists of Pineville look to sweep the McMurry Battle Chickens out of Abilene, Texas

Tonight's show unfortunately doesn't seem all that enticing, especially since the SD men's Elimination Chamber match has been pulled off the card since there's no longer a need to determine a #1 contender to the Universal Championship... that was just handed off to Roman Reigns (good job properly building a challenger, WWE)

Oh... and apparently 1 of the major stories we're expecting for tonight may be changing b/c of Vince's fee-fees (or lack of fee-fees for the wrestler involved)

But it is the final stop on the Road to Wrestlemania... meaning FWL is in its final stretch for this season

Elimination Chamber tonight is at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Penn.

Elimination Chamber Match (5 pts + 3 bonus - to get bonus, name winner, style of fall, and final eliminated competitor)
Natalya vs. Liv Morgan vs. Shayna Baszler vs. Asuka vs. Ruby Riott vs. Sarah Logan

3-on-1 Handicap Match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship (4 pts + 2 bonus - to get bonus points name winner, style of fall, and who takes fall if you predict team of 3 to lose)
Braun Strowman (c) vs. Sami Zayn, Cesaro, & Shinsuke Nakamura

Elimination Chamber Match for the Smackdown Tag Team Championship (5 pts + 4 bonus - to get bonus, name winning team, style of fall, and final eliminated competitor)
The Miz & John Morrison (c) vs. New Day (Big E & Kofi Kingston) vs. Lucha House Party (Gran Metalik & Lince Dorado) vs. Heavy Machinery (Tucker Knight & Otis Dozovic) vs. Robert Roode & Dolph Ziggler vs. The Usos (Jimmy & Jey)

No Disqualification Match (2 pts + 2 bonus)
Aleister Black vs. AJ Styles

Raw Tag Team Championship Match (3 pts + 2 bonus)
Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford) (c) vs. Seth Rollins & Buddy Murphy

WWE United States Championship Match (3 pts + 2 bonus)
Andrade "Cien" Almas (c) vs. Humberto Carrillo

Daniel Bryan vs. Drew Gulak (2 pts + 2 bonus)

if you didn't notice by now... you should note the replacement of The Revival in the tag team Elimination Chamber match with Lucha House Party... WWE may be starting to write The Revival off of TV in preparation of their contracts expiring and Scott Dawson & Dash Wilder heading elsewhere (AEW?)

Also... just so it's known now... I have a baseball game to work tomorrow night as well (weather permitting) so I am not expecting to be able to make/participate in the MNRT tomorrow night. If the game doesn't get rained out (rain is expected here tomorrow and our field is already soggy AF)... then the FWL results will be released on Wednesday night's AEW/NXT thread

And I'm currently not expecting to be able to participate Friday either due to baseball games again.

oh... and G... I know your tax embezzlement is going better than expected... cough up the proper share to the rasslin' thread

Honest question - I haven't followed 'E for a few years since Mania 32 I believe. How many weekend events are they doing now? Seems like every other week there's something on.

That's a terrible accusation, rt3.

Plus, I think I'm supposed to give all my money to The Cartel. I'm still short on funds after getting diva's birthday present a few years back.

Baszler pins Asuka
Strowman pins Sami
Otis pins Miz
Styles pins Black
Ford pins Murphy
Andrade pins Humberto
DB pins Gulak

In 2019, it looks like there were 12 PPV shows (not sure if they're still called "Pay Per View") plus 2 "Super Showdown" shows in Saudi Arabia. It may seem like more because there are threads on here for the NXT and AEW shows also.

Ok, I'll jump in.

Elimination Chamber Match

Shayna, no one else makes any sense to face Becky @WM. Plus the build has started already.

3-on-1 Handicap Match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship

Braun - Just won it, cant see him dropping it here.

Heavy Machinery. Otis pins Dolph?

quote:

No Disqualification Match

Styles - Not gonna have him lose before the Taker match. Poor Aleister. Smh

quote:

Raw Tag Team Championship Match

Street Profits - Just won it...

quote:

WWE United States Championship Match

Humberto - Andrade's reign has been pretty Meh, may be time to move the title.

Daniel Bryan vs. Drew Gulak

Daniel

These are the most logical pics imo. But it didn't make sense for The Fiend to lose to Oldberg before WM either so who tf knows?

I think at least 1 Blood Money Mania show has taken the place of a usual monthly PPV... if not both

but yeah... the expansion of NXT on its own and AEW's quarterly shows make it seem like a lot of wrestling is going on (which it is)

it makes plenty of sense if the Saudis are giving you bazillions of dollars to have Goldberg go over

Yeah but you fk'd a build that's been going since last Oct to do so. So ol Vince will let the Saudi's have say over the whole show for one day, regardless what you've been doing for a year. That's not good business imo

Nobody will believe the Fiend anymore after that 3 min match where he lost to one move. They did this to Bray last time, he came out and gave great promos but in the end he'd lose, after a while no one believes you anymore. And that's how that character died. Same stuff all over again.
Remember. The Fiend is no man, the fiend is an abomination, the fiend is power... Yeah, and all that lost to a 53 yr old part timer who can barely walk to the ring without looking like he's about to have a stroke, by using one move and a suplex. Don't call what that weak shite was a jackhammer
All so Roman wont be boo'd out of the building.

Vince don't care about building things... hell... he very well may kill another top build tonight just b/c he can

Paul Heyman was trying like hell to get both Cedric Alexander & Ricochet over, 2 guys he liked and wanted to push... Vince came up and said "kill it" and they've both been squashed and sent to the bottom of the card

That's obvious.
How cool would it have been for The Fiend to beat Oldberg. Then in Boston, Cena comes out and is attacked by The Fiend -Bray looking for revenge for WM30- Cena accepts the challenge and in doing so he chases history for the title? At least now you have added some intrigue in the match.
shite writes itself. Cena puts Bray over and you have your new face of fear for the next 7-10 years like the Undertaker / Kane.
Nobody gives a shite about this match now. Hell, Cena gave a 5 minute promo on why he isn't going to fight in WM, how spots should be earned ect. 20 seconds later the Fiend comes out and points to the sign and Cena totally just says fk what I said, Im in. Just terrible writing here.

This is easily one of the worst ppv lineups in a long time. No Roman or Brock? The tag team EC might end up being the main event.

Not sure what to make of the card. The top half of the card, I already know the outcome. The bottom half I don’t but I don’t care anyways.

Vince is apparently sour on Shayna. Oliver Luck needs to be occupying Vince’s time by any means necessary.

So you're saying you don't know the outcome of the top half of the card

And I fully expect the women's elimination chamber match to be the main event tonight

Heard that too.. Already. She was a stud in NXT for 2 years and after what, a month. Vince is ready to sweep her under the rug.

And ppl talk shite when talent leaves his arse for another promotion. Give me a fkn break.

Honestly, WM is looking pretty weak right now as well. Other than Orton v Edge, is there really a match you gaf about?

Vince didn't like her prior to the Rumble... that's why he changed it from Shayna winning to Charlotte winning the Rumble match

Same for tonight... he didn't like her Raw match a couple weeks ago so her push is heading for the dumps

She's still gotta be thought of as the favorite tonight... but it wouldn't be the biggest shock if she actually doesn't win b/c Vincelol

His dumb arse booked 2 heels against each other and didn't like the crowd response..
Funny, they had some pretty good matches in NXT, where we knew who the face and heel were.

I cannot see any other woman in that match making sense as a viable threat to beat Shayna. If she loses to Liv Morgan, grab the fkn shovel.

As you noted earlier... Cena/Fiend could easily be the biggest story at 'Mania had Vince not gotten a bug up his butt about Goldberg/Reigns needing to be for a title

Fiend/Reigns for the Universal Title... the original 'Mania main event plan... would've been a good story

Orton vs Edge and Drew vs Brock are the only feuds that have had decent buildups so far. Drew vs Brock could end up being a decent match as well. Roman vs Fiend could have been a good story and they'll probably still do that at Summerslam. I don't care much about Roman vs Goldberg and have little faith the match will be good.
