Ehhhh even when stuff is shortened bc of blood or whatever they usually keep the finish the same
Yeah but it's not like they kept pausing the match (ala Balor/Edge although Balor's was a whole lot worse) to deal with it so I don't think that changed anything

Why can't he wrassle Bork for that title

His health? They are usually able to fix bad cuts in the ring if they need to. They did with Finn at mania and it was awful

I think that was the planned finish. Cody gets a clean win and you still protect “free agent” Brock.

Yea I don't either

I also think it was a blade job.

Bork blades on the ring post in damn near every match. I'm not sure where he did it in this case cause I'm the close up replay it was hidden really well. This one may have just been hard way which he has done before too but I've never understood how they pull that off without fricking themselves up worse than intended (he may have tonight)

It may have been but he did hit that corner head on. Could have been either .

I think it was somewhere in his glove. I don’t think there was any blood before he touched the exact spot.

Would be my thought as well

In kayfabe Brock is a free agent and wouldn't want to appear on what's now the B show.

I like the finish. Rasslin should still be treated like a real sport even though everyone obviously knows the results are scripted and the only way someone like Cody could beat someone like Brock in a shoot is a fluke like what happened.

Brock/Cody feels like a feud that can go to SummerSlam inside Hell in a Cell or another type gimmick match
Posted on 5/6/23 at 10:22 pm to MetroAtlantaGatorFan
I mean he could if they booked him to

It makes complete sense. Cody could never beat Brock in a fight, but he out wrestled him.

It's the same way Flair used to beat Vader in WCW (although a bit different since his "finisher" was a submission that could be put on almost anyone).

The Raw "world" champion will be decided at Saudimania and that's the show Cody's on now.
Cody probably gets screwed in the 1st round by Brock setting up a co-main event match at Saudimania.
Orrrrrrr...you put Cody and Brock on opposite sides of the bracket and Brock wins ending Cody's 2nd failed attempt at a title, on to the next chapter. Then have a rematch at MITB and have whoever wins the case come in and Rollins the title away.
The second one (with title involved) is probably unnecessary. I guess you could do a WM4 Hogan-Andre double DQ blowoff somewhere in the tournament but I think the best thing would be Brock screwing Cody in the 1st round. No need for a title in this feud. I think one of the briefcase winners is a HHH/HBK NXT kid (my money would be on Waller) who can use it after building up some ring experience.
After tonight I think Seth not winning the title would be a surprise. If he does it would be great if Tony gave the fans a gift by putting the title on Mox so all 3 Shield members hold world titles at the same time.

It’s a shame that they are wasting Fords talents.

quote:Brock was shooting blood all over the ring and Cody was doing some AEW/Mox shite with rubbing it on himself. The ending just seemed off. Maybe it'll make sense on RAW but this needed a post-event press conference explanation.

This summer is going to be interesting. PR tonight, Saudimania, MITB in England(?), and is there a PPV on American soil between then and SS in Detroit?
I think this is the new normal for WWE. They'd be stupid not to run a PR PPV at least every 18 months. This was the usual Chicago spot and I think they can't just look the other way anymore with the Horizon's capacity. Anthem will use the same approach as UFC (Vegas = US shows). The US will get Mania and half of the PPVs, Saudis get 2, and that leaves roughly 3 for Canada/PR/Europe/(don't be surprised if they run a show in Japan at some point).

The American crowds could learn from what happened tonight. That place was lit until that stupid finish.
