I know a lady who carried building materials on a skiff across 5 miles of tidewater every weekend for a summer and built her own remote cabin, even put in a wood burning hot tub. A determined person can do most anything.

A nice lil get away. I'd be worried about one of those severe storms up there, blow it all away.

I’ve been to some of the islands off the coast of Maine and they are fun to visit. But winter out there is tough.
