Deregulation drives prices down. Look how bad you guys fricked up the US healthcare system with Obamacare. If you were going to argue FOR regulation, you don’t use pricing, you would use an instance of someone not getting paid out and not having no retribution.

You’re just a typical NPC that doesn’t know why he’s saying something so he uses his MSNBC quips out of context.

Unfortunately, another factor to consider with insurance that I don’t believe has been brought up is fraud.

According to the Coalition Against Insurance Fraud, insurance fraud costs consumers an estimated $308.6 billion annually in the US, roughly $900 per consumer due to increased premiums resulting from fraudulent claims.

I don’t know if this includes property, casualty, and benefits, but I imagine so. Regardless, crappy people on both sides of the insurance fence are a problem.

I won’t lie and say I’ve never benefited from insurance. I have.

Have you though? I bet you’ve paid out exponentially more in premiums than you’ve ever received in a claim. I mean it’s great in the short-term but it’s all a scam. It’s amazing just how much I pay a year in life insurance, disability, home owners insurance, car insurance, health insurance, etc. I might make a claim on one policy every 5 years. It’s insane
