Who has the best/cheapest phone plans?

AT&T plan I have is getting out of control. It is a family plan with unlimited texting, etc.
There are 3 iPhones and my phone is a dinosaur. Any suggestions? Paying right at $300 per month.

Anything is better than Sprint... so there's that.

4 phones with unlimited texts and etc (whatever the etc entails) for $300?
Is that not good? I've never had a phone plan for anyone other than just my own self and I pay about $82 a month with AT&T with a cap of 2GB. If/when I go over it goes up to $92.

tell me about straight talk. I vaguely recall seeing commercials but I think that being from walmart I instantly discredited them.

ATT grandfathered into the unlimited data plan(they don't throttle now until 22gb so I'm loving not worrying about finding wifi everywhere I go).
$70 a month

Just walk in and buy the bring your own phone kit for $60. Comes with a sim card and a month of service.
Set up your account online and select Auto pay. You'll never have to log on again.
No contract and you keep your old number. If you don't like it then just go back to what you were on to begin with. Only thing is you must purchase your own phone. No long term payment plans for that new phone every 2 years.

Is there not a way to keep your current phone?

AT&T is about to do away with 2 year subsidies, so if you want to get a new phone you may want to look into that.
I recently moved and was dead set to ditch Sprint, but I get perfect data and voice in my new house.
I think Sprint will be the only carrier that still has 2 year phone subsidies, but I imagine that's going away soon. Most people don't understand that their shiny new smart phone really costs like $600

I have Project Fi with 1 GB of data a month and a Nexus 6P and my bill is 30/month plus tax and it's great for me. My wife and son have an old grandfathered in Cspire account with unlimited, talk text and data and it's about 160/month.
