Yeah I agree. And most of our workouts weren’t like that.
Some are amazing though for endurance and burning fat.
For example:
27-21-15-9 Reps
Row (calories)
Thrusters (95/65 lb)
And some are stupid and can easily create injuries like:
For Time
75 Power Snatches (75/55 lb)

Crossfit is for people that want to do something athletic but aren't coordinated or talented enough to participate in a sport, team or otherwise.

Have you tried it? Because it actually takes more coordination than you think.
But hey, it helps people lose weight and get in shape. Why mock people just trying to get out there and do something to better themselves.
And as for being a prior coach I can tell you this. Many middle aged women are terrified of weights and think it’s all cardio. They have no idea how to lift a kettlebell or even what a barbell is. They don’t know where to start but know they need to do something besides cardio. So they join. And enjoy it.
Yes there are definitely some flaws in it. But it’s people trying to get in shape. You can’t really complain about that.

Agree with you there.

Nobody cares if people workout, it is even somewhat admired amongst peers.
It’s the people who won’t shut the frick up about it. I was in Nordstrom’s yesterday and some dude was trying on a suit and kept telling the guy he needed it a couple inches smaller because he CrossFit’s and was gonna lose weight.
Nobody gives a shite where you work out. Keep it to yourself unless you’re asked.
