I worked for Stryker for five years and totally get the reference. Definitely a jock mentality with that company. My interview process with them was in the late 90's but I recall an extensive psychological profile was involved (the Gallup interview) and for back then a ton of in-person interviews with regional managers all the way up to the president of the division. They had fantastic training, right up there with my current company (Medtronic). Good times!
