When you have 2...do you name each one, or how does it differentiate?

Yes, you name them. I have "front and "back. I say alex a, change the temperature in back to 74.

Thanks for the info. Sorry for all the questions, but I'm building & trying to decide between the Ecobee & Honeywell. Leaning towards Ecobee.
If you have two Ecobee's do they pick up the other thermostats sensors, or do they link only to one?

I rented and they had nest. It was fine. I didn't research and got the ecobee because I thought nest was flawed. Honestly they are pretty similar. Just being able to use your phone makes them worth it. I like the ecobee fine. But it's no vast improvement over the nest. Alexa integrated in the new one. Need to set that up

They have sensors that come with them, and more can be added. They sense when you're in a certain room and know what you want the temp to be there. So if I have it set on 73, and a sensor in my bedroom knows I'm there, it will make the temp in my bedroom go to 73.
Not sure what you mean about "other thermostats sensors" But sensors are available.
My plan is to use alex a thought the house which is Amazon based, which I feel will do everything I need going forward....lights, door locks, ac, security, grocery, etc
BTW, i wired ut myself and ut was as easy as readung a kid's book. Simple. So simple, I couldn't believe I waited that long to install them.

Emerson's Sensi is worth a look. Have 3 at home and 2 at work. They have a more traditional look, work great, easy to use and can be used with Echo and such.
