Japanese could have lasted longer if they had not attacked the U.S. Germany absolutely need fuel thus had already painted themselves into a corner. FTR, they did not use the FT process to turn coal into synfuel. It was another more expensive process similar to hydrocracking used in refining at very high pressures. Money wins wars in the end, Germany didn't have the economic might to do so, even if the U.S. had of remained completely neutral.

Their tanks were much better than what we produced. We just churned out so many lesser tanks like the Shermans. We had the huge advantage of being able to produce equipment at full capacity without being bombed unlike the Germans.
We could have produced tanks ro rival the Tiger, and did late in the war. The Pershing went toe to toe with Tigers in limited action and prevailed. Our main problem was transportation. We had to produce something we could get to Europe in enough numbers given the limited space available to make a difference. Hence the Sherman.

Toe to toe the Sherman had as more kills vs. Panzers on a per tank basis.

Short answer yes.
Think about strategy and resources.
If you only have a limited pool of resources verses the rest of the world then, eventually you will run out of supplies unless you are capable of over running your enemies and taking over their supply lines. That is where strategy comes into play.
Also, the kicker is weapons. If Hitler was able to get atomic weapons first, do the allies fall to prevent further bloodshed realizing their is no end game except for continued destruction.

Fuhrer Anti doesn't frick with the Jews, or do the evil shite. He doesn't invade France or bomb England. He sits down and talks with the Poles and tells them that the Russians are going to roll right over you to get at us in 2 or 3 years, so give us right of passage so we can get rid of them.
The Frogs can sit in their Maginot Line, I am moving east and hitting Comrade Stalin. I am treating the conquered areas decently, liberating them and not beating them down.No partisans in my rear. I know its him or me. and all my efforts are going towards putting me in Moscow ASAP.
Hell if the Russian troops want to fight, I'll turn them around and let them fight the Reds. Make this a war to kick the godless Communists out of Mother Russia.

We were already strangling them with sanctions over their invasion of China. They couldnt import enough oil and raw materials to keep their economy going. War was a foregone conclusion.

Once they had Sumatran crude they could fuel their ships with raw crude due its nature being close to Bunker C used by most navies of the day. The reason that they couldn't get that oil back home was due the U.S. was in the war and our submarines were the most effective on the planet by far.

Their presumption, probably rightly so, is that we wouldn't let them move on the Dutch East Indies without a fight. So they brought the fight to us on their terms.

Japan never had a prayer against the US.
As for Germany, they had one shot, and even it was a long shot. Their chance was in the spring of 41. At that time France was defeated, Britain was isolated, and the US wasn’t in the war yet. Had the German invaded the USSR then, in early spring of 1941, they had a shot at taking Moscow and bringing about the collapse of the Soviet Union. Had that happened then perhaps the Germans could have forced the British to accept a negotiated peace before the US ever entered the war.

Yes, Hitler had the best military in history.
I’d beg to differ. The German Army of 1914-1918 was superior.
