Having pulled over trees before, I've wondered this myself.
I'd guess that it would take more to pull it over than one might think. And it would take a lot of cable.
Watched on implosion where they were concerned about the central structure not going the way they wanted so they looped it with a bunch of heavy cable so the building going down would pull it the way they wanted.
Just snapped the cables.

cant they just pay some hard up dude $100 to run up to the base of the building with a crate of dynamite and run back to safety?
