I've had colon surgery and it's very hard to recover from, but you will make it through. That being said, colon cancer has a high recovery rate, best of luck to you.

They found a tumor in my colon on 9/4 and did surgery on 9/11. Dr. removed a section of my colon and 21 lymph nodes. Pathology report showed stage 2a tumor but all lymph nodes were clear so my surgeon and oncologist both gave me the green light... NO CHEMO NECESSARY. I got lucky and they caught it early enough and I'm hoping yours turns out the same. Good luck and prayers sent.

My father had virtually inoperable colon cancer at age 68. He lived to age 92.

Take this to heart OP. God bless.

It can be handled with surgery if diagnosed in time. Was this found through a routine colonoscopy? How old are you and did they tell you anything about the stage?
