Dont fricking do it! Future peoples are going to curse this foam fad. What happens if you have to replace a section of subfloor or roof decking? What if you have to chase a circuit to add an electrical receptacle? What if you have to drop a cable line? What if you have to replace some drywall? Run some plumbing?
This spray foam insulation is the worse thing to happen to building materials since asbestos.
You want to save electricity turn up your thermostat or add some solar panels.

Our climate is all about giving a little to prevent water issues. Around here you never want things completely sealed. You always want things to air out and breathe. The best thing to have here is a lot of attic head clearance and properly balanced and installed ridge venting.
Moisture will find its way into everything here and people watch these home improvement shows and listen to these carpetbagging "experts" and screw up the building envelope. What works in other parts of the country doesnt work here. Another example is you never see people here install drainage planes behind their siding and they vent their bathroom blowers into the attic space.
They use seal tab when everything about LA says metal roofing(Florida gets it) and they insist on soffit and fascia which is just a nice home for wasps and rodents and a great place for a scarf joint to open and let tons of rain water into your eave for termites to drink in your wall.This post was edited on 10/11/17 at 5:28 pm
