U-Cart Concrete
Posted by shadowlsu on 2/27/17 at 12:10 pm00
I'm planning a spring project to add on to my patio and need just about 1 yard of concrete. According to U-cart's website u-cartconcrete.com it says they are closed "due to equipment issues related to the flood". I called their number to see if/when they would be back up and running and it says they are closed "indefinitely". Does anyone know of another company in BR that does this?
I don't want to go with a regular concrete company, bc they will charge me way too much if I'm ordering just 1 yard, plus i can get my truck/trailer into my backyard, but not a concrete truck, so I would have to wheel barrow it back there.
I thought about just doing bags of quickcrete, but it would take about 45 bags and would probably need to rent a mixer.
Any suggestions?

Just order a short load from a concrete supplier ($300), rent a georgia buggy ($150) and knock it out in an hour.
Otherwise break your back with quickcrete.
I spoke to the owner of U-cart not long ago and he indicated that he shut the business down. I don't recall his reasoning, but his pricing for using his equipment may not have been much better than the alternates.
Work smarter, not harder.
