The police need to put some decoy trucks in that area and catch these bastards.

Yep. Unfortunately I don't think they put many resources into vehicle burglaries.

I just don't leave anything valuable in my truck if I can help it.

Sometimes I'll have my laptop in it when I stop somewhere on the way home from work. That's kind of unavoidable though.

I'm told it's easy to weld in some kind of secret compartment for your assault weapon. Maybe worth a shot.

I speak from experience this is felony simple burglary in Louisiana.

Since a gun was stolen it becomes aggravated burglary.

I wonder how secure a gun would be in this? Looks like it could be pried open with little effort.

They used to park a tricked out Charger in perkins rowe & buffalo wild wings across the street with all types of electronics visible through the rolled down windows. Like taking candy from a baby

I'm not sure where he got that from. Plenty of hunting and fishing baws in my office, including the CFO and CIO.

Yep. I keep a huge blanket in my truck. Cover that shite up. That tends to help.

I'd really like to place a bait truck some where in that area and station myself a few hundred yards away in a van with a sniper rifle. I HATE a freaking thief.

Concealing valuables is not working in BR...these thugs seem to be targeting trucks with hunting/fishing decals regardless if anything is visible.
