Train Schedule

We live about 2 minutes from a railroad crossing and my 4 year old son absolutely loves seeing trains go by.

Is there a way to look up when a train is scheduled to make a pass at that location? They oddly seem to show up when it's just me...

If it is freight trains, for the most part there are no schedules. They try to run them on schedule but it just never works out that way.

What town do you live in?

There are three Amtrak trains that leave NOLA daily.

Yeah, that's a freight-only CSX line that runs through there. As another poster mentioned, freight trains don't run on a schedule.

If your son wants to see fast passenger trains that run on a schedule, you could hop on 485 north to University City or Harrisburg.
