Life is so precious when you have so little time to share. Love is such an over used word but in the end the love you shared with others is all that matters.

I would bet most of the cancer comes from our diet and environment. If every day you are eating chemicals (preservatives, etc that are found in processed food) and drinking tap water (fluoride, chlorine, etc), then after a while your body just can't handle the toxins. Then throw in the chemo therapy, which kills your healthy cells as well as the cancer cells. But yeah chemo may work, but it is dangerous in and of itself.

I would like to see some numbers on % of people who took chemo and how long they lived and their quality of life. Also if the cancer ever got cured.

Also there is a lot of money to be made in the cancer industry. It's very profitable to the pharmaceutical companies, so why would they want a cure?

I think you don't know what "substantial" means.

It's a very situational discussion. I've known more people than I care to know that have died from cancer, one being a very close female friend when we were 21. There really is no solid answer as every one is completely substantial. I do know that she spent her last months going from hospital bed to hospital bed and was too sick from the chemo to even make it to her parents room the night she died. frick cancer

this is the only acceptable answer to the proposed situation ...
