Common core is a failure. It's purpose is to make people dumber by tieing them up in endless demonstrations of "understanding" rather than allowing them to demonstrate skill competency and move on to application. The fact that teachers support it is proof that it's bad for our kids.

Because it would hurt Tim Kennedy's argument during the interview. Similar to when he went on this long story about how "Hitler made it to South America" and that "Hundreds of thousands of Nazis live in S.America and have committed hate crimes in the United States". He's an entertainer. Who mixes a bit of truth with sensualism to sound interesting.
