a lockon - on a vintage toy train layout, it clips to the track and is where you connect the power wires from the transformer to the track

When I set up my Christmas display, it took me two hours to find the lockons.

Phillips head anything. Bit for the drill, lone driver, even a plastic toy one. Never can find them. I went so far as to buy 5 of the damn things out of frustration and can’t find those anymore. I’m convinced my wife and kids take them just to get a laugh.

If you go to my tool box right now you can find 12 flat heads. Fat ones skinny long short wide narrow. For every flat head I’ve bought two Phillips.

You can’t find one. I go on a round up about every 6 months.

Handle to my hydraulic jack
Lost one in a move. Just used random metal bars.

Cleaning out my g-pas shop many years later, I was getting another jack with a handle... winning. I specifically placed it in a pile to load in the truck. Get across country to the house, handle is missing.

Now I have 2 jacks, without an actual handle.
