There's an app that sends messages from unknown numbers
It would keep my number private? What's the name of the app?

Use Free Anonymous Text Messaging Websites
You can also send text messages through certain text messaging websites. These websites can be very beneficial for someone that doesn't know the carrier of the person they are sending the anonymous text to. These are just a few websites that can provide these services:
Fake My Text
Textem
TextPort
TxtEmNow
The problem with these websites, though, is that you can't receive text messages after sending them, unless you give them your email.
Smartphone Apps
There are some applications that allows you to block your phone number and still send text messages. Android has two applications, Anonymous Texting and Anonytext, that do just that. They allow you to send and receive text messages while remaining anonymous.
