To be fair, when a large portion of your student population is just enrolled to get refund checks it is going to be hard to get decent passing rate.
To be fair, the schools are in on it. They love to load up someone with classes, get them grants and loans and take a large portion of the money and not provide any services.
Higher education would be way cheaper and way better if it wasn't subsidized how it is.
I have NO PROBLEM subsidizing those who get degrees in fields that are in demand and get degrees that add to our society, but subsidizing the lowest common denominator is a recipe for failure.
