Blaming the smartphone for societal degradation is as misguided as blaming gun manufacturers for crime/homicide rates, instead of blaming the breakdown of the family unit and education.
Everyone complaining in this thread owns a smartphone and is using social media (Tigerdroppings) to rant about it.
But no, don't blame the 30 years-running of parental over-protection of their special snowflake children driving their narrow narcissism and tunnel-vision. It's the smartphone that's the bad guy.
